Welcome

I was inspired to start this blog when I attended the 2009 National NOW (National Organization for Women) Conference in Indianapolis from June 19-21. Here I attended a workshop on feminist blogging. Using blogs as a way to connect with, inform, and inspire people across the country and around the world really spoke to me. Every woman has something unique to add to the table and my voice deserves to be heard. This blog is also a way for me to keep up with my feminist activism and analysis.

This blog is mainly my opinions and impressions of things happening in the world today. When it comes down to it, these are my opinions and I make no claim that they are unquestionable facts. I encourage questions, disagreements, concerns, and comments on my opinions that foster a productive conversation about feminism. You can take up my opinions through comments or an email to me, but I make no claim that what I post here is anything other than my opinion.

I am a young, white, middle class feminist. Everything that I post comes through that lens. The main focus of this blog is feminism and how I view the world as a feminist. It will cover a wide array of topics through this feminist lens, because when it comes down to do, everything really is about feminism.
